The picture was from my 4am outing to the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. I blogged about it here.

It’s about time I ventured out again. I’ve now been to the Jewellery Quarter, The Bullring and Digbeth. Which part of Birmingham would you like to see at 4am? Please leave a comment below and I will go to one of the areas you suggest :)

    Hi Karen,

like the work you are doing at 4am – I thought I suffered from insomnia but you beat me!

How about 5 ways island? no-one ever photographs it and it would look great without any cars? The garden in the middle is pretty cool too..

I really must get out and take some myself soon as a practice for 4/4.

    James

    Hi James,

    Thank you for your comment.

It’s not so much insomnia, but it’s definitely worth dragging myself out of bed to experience the feeling of being along in the city :)

I will certainly bear your suggestion in mind. If I get no other suggestions – 5 ways it is! If I get a few other suggestions – will draw one of them out of a hat heehee.

Will look forward to seeing your 4am pics :)

I think Selly Oak or one of the university campuses (campi?) would be interesting at 4am.

Possibly not empty but a different kind of student around.

Oxford was one of my favourite places at 4am. I used to take long walks.

Canterbury is also good at 4am. I used to walk home from parties around that time.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your suggestions. I will put them in a hat and pull one out.

Shakini (on twitter) suggested Edgbaston Reservoir and Stef suggested the B4 postcode and places with clocks (which would involve a bit of a mad dash around city, but could be fun!

Oxford and Canterbury sound like lovely places to walk through at 4am :)
